The first thing that caught my eye of this picture is not the pigeon, but the girl's expression. I love how the expression makes you giggle, but at the same time it makes you dwell in it's beauty. The girl is very pretty. Now that I said that I can tell you how great the bird on her head is. It is very original and hilarious! The pigeon also has an expression of its own that only adds to the impact of the picture. The only thing that could have been better is the quality of the picture itself. The shadows in the girl's face are too prominent and beneath the bird it looks a bit blurry. But other than that it is a great shot.
This picture immediately caught my attention for obvious reasons. A rather uncommon occurrance, both creatures on this photo, the pigeon and the human, seem to be equally curiously touched by the incidence. The girl eyes up to the pigeon whereas the pigeon tries to check out what's going on with its strange landing strip. Streets never are as soft as human hair... The strong depth of field as well as the soft green colour of the background suits the scene and makes the viewer focus on the rough main two details (pigeon and girl). One wonders: Was the girl surprised or is it possibly a pigeon she is used to? And what will the pigeon do next?...
